Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to all apps published by sskplay (“we”, “our”) under the apps.sskplay.com catalog, unless a specific app provides its own separate policy. “The App” below means whichever of our titles you are using.
Overview
Our apps are utility tools. They do not require you to create an account, do not have any server-side database of user records, and do not send your app data to our servers. Most of our apps work entirely on your device or on your local Wi-Fi network.
Some of our apps display advertisements provided by Google AdMob, or offer optional in-app purchases through Google Play Billing. Where this is the case, the app's own store listing makes it clear, and the relevant section below applies.
Information we collect ourselves
We do not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information to our own servers. The following data is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:
- App settings, preferences, and any state the app needs to remember between sessions
- Any user-created content (for example, the list of pinned shortcuts in App Pin) — kept locally on the device
Apps that operate over your local network (for example, AirPlay Touch and AudioCast) exchange data only with other devices you connect to on the same Wi-Fi network. That traffic does not pass through any server we operate.
You can erase any locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.
Our apps do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Your precise or approximate location
- Your contacts, photos, files, camera input, or microphone input — except where a specific feature requires it (see Permissions below)
- Crash reports, analytics, or usage telemetry
- Any unique identifier beyond what Google AdMob or Google Play Billing uses internally, in apps that include those services
Advertising — Google AdMob
Some of our apps use Google AdMob (provided by Google LLC) to display advertisements. In apps where AdMob is enabled, AdMob may access and process:
- The Android Advertising ID, a user-resettable identifier used for ad personalization and frequency capping
- Coarse device information (device model, OS version, language, country)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Basic interaction data with the ads themselves
Google AdMob's handling of this data is governed by Google's own policies:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
- AdMob — ads personalization
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. From Android 12 onwards you can also opt out of ad personalization from the same screen.
In-app purchases
Some of our apps offer optional in-app purchases (for example, removing limits or unlocking premium features). These purchases are handled by Google Play Billing; we never receive or store your payment details. Google's processing of your billing information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy linked above.
Permissions
Each app requests only the Android permissions it needs for its features. Examples across our catalog:
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID— required by Google Play services to access the Advertising ID, in apps that show AdMob adsINTERNET,ACCESS_WIFI_STATE,CHANGE_WIFI_STATE— for apps that communicate over your local Wi-Fi network (AudioCast, AirPlay Touch)FOREGROUND_SERVICE+FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK,WAKE_LOCK,POST_NOTIFICATIONS— for apps that need to keep audio or a network session running with the screen offRECORD_AUDIO— only used by an optional latency-test feature in AudioCast; audio recorded for that test is never streamed off-deviceQUERY_ALL_PACKAGES,INSTALL_SHORTCUT,REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES— used by App Pin to list installed apps and create or remove home-screen shortcuts
We do not request location, contacts, camera, or storage permissions unless a specific feature in a specific app requires it. If that ever changes, the store listing and in-app prompts will explain why.
Children's privacy
Our apps are generally rated suitable for everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. In apps that display AdMob ads, ad content delivered by Google may be subject to Google's own policies on advertising to children. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns, please contact us below.
Data retention and deletion
- On-device data (settings, pinned shortcuts, etc.) is retained until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
- AdMob data, in apps that use AdMob, is retained by Google according to its own retention policies.
- Google Play Billing data, in apps that offer in-app purchases, is retained by Google.
- We do not operate any server-side database of user records.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, there is no personal record on our side to provide, correct, or delete. For data handled by Google AdMob or Google Play Billing, you can exercise your rights directly through Google using the policies linked above.
Per-app policies
If a specific app has handling that differs from this general policy (for example, because it integrates additional third-party services), that app will publish its own Privacy Policy. In the absence of an app-specific policy, this one applies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
